Belmont National School

We had a great day at our sports day this year. Thanks to the Board of Management for organising the bouncy slide and obstacle course. Here are some photos that Gerry of Tuam Photo Studio took on the day. 

The children love when Thomas comes on Wednesdays to do football skills with them. 

Here are some pictures from the cross country running event that was held in Renmore last Wednesday. Some of the children in 3rd to 6th classes took part in the event. They were selected to represent the school after a qualifying run in Milltown pitch last week. They all did really well. Aoibheann Costello came 4th in her category and Eva Burke 12th in hers. This was a fantastic acheivement!

Congrats to the girls in 5th and 6th Classes who were crowned champions yesterday after a great display of football against Lavally/Brownsgrove NS.

Today marked the beginning of “Active Schools Week”. The children all walked 1.5km to school this morning. They also took part in novelty games on the yard at break times.
