A royal letter

Imagine the excitement in the middle room today when Niamh in 3rd class brought in a letter she received from St James’s Palace. A few weeks ago she wrote a letter to the Duchess of Cambridge and to her suprise and delight she received a reply. How exciting. We are all thinking now what famous people we could write to!!

Planting flowers

Oscar Wilde said that the children were little flowers. Well today the little flowers in Second Class planted nasturtiums.

Tree Planting

We received thirty hedgerow trees from the Irish Independent newspaper in conjunction with the Irish Woodland Trust. Nuala planted them around the school today with the children.

Spring is here

We are charting the arrival of Spring. We are looking for six different species of animals and plants that signify the official arrival of Spring. Aoibheann Costello took this picture of a bud bursting on a horse chestnut tree.
