‘FUTURE TENSE One, An Anthology of Young Galway Writers’

More than 250 students, parents, and teachers attended the launch of ‘FUTURE TENSE One, An Anthology of Young Galway Writers’. This event organised by Galway Education Centre took place in Radisson Hotel on April 4. 2014. This anthology was launched by Ciaran Cannon TD, Minister for Training and Skills. At this event, Galway Education Centre made a donation of € 3000 to Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin.

Three pupils from Belmont N.S. were lucky enough to have their stories included in the book. Well done!!

Easter Concert

We had a wonderful afternoon of music, song and poetry today. All of the children performed in front of a large crowd of parents and grandparents.

M.J. Molloy Centenary Celebrations

An evening of celebration  incorporating chat, music and drama will take place this Friday night in the community centre at 8pm. It is 100 years since our local playwright M.J. Molloy was born. Milltown Drama Society are staging one of his much loved plays ‘The Paddy Pedlar’ directed by our own Eleanor Sheridan in honour of this occasion.

It promises to be a fantastic evening. Tickets on sale now.
