Farewell Nuala

A fond farewell was given to Nuala O’Hara on the occasion of her retirement as resource teacher to pupils in Belmont NS on the 1st of September in Milltown Community Centre. Gratitude was expressed to Nuala for the knowledge and skills she imparted to the eager children in her care. A special thanks to all the people who attended, served and brought refreshments and to those who helped to transform the community centre for the night.

The children will miss Nuala’s wonderful classes and her many treats! On behalf of all staff past and present, all children past and present and their families we wish Nuala a healthy and more relaxed time ahead with time to achieve all the dreams and goals on her ‘bucket list ! Thank you for your patience, kindness and gentle way with the children. Míle buíochas ó chroí.

Gerry took over 200 photos of the night which you can view on http://www.tuamphotostudio.ie/belmontns.

Sunflowers

The girls in 6th class with the help of Anne did a great job of clearing the sunflowers from the flower bed. They grew very high this year! The children in the middle room are using them as a stimulus for art.
